Interior Design
Shane Stenberg is the lead designer for Ravenswood and the inspiration for our projects. With over twenty years of design experience, Shane focuses on maximizing a client’s existing portfolio of furniture in settings that are enhanced by the correct correlation of existing and new pieces. Often working in the context of a new build or re-design project, Shane brings his natural affinity for rich living spaces, beautiful fabrics and harmonized furniture plans to bear. This elevates a wonderfully constructed space to the level of, simply, the home you don’t ever want to leave.
Shane’s oeuvre draws heavily from a background in New Orleans’ historic French influences as well as from his heavy involvement with the classic federalist styles of New England. Shane’s influence from the legendary Keith Irvine allows him to construct interiors “lapped with chintz, paisley throws, Staffordshire pottery, Regency chairs and armadas of pillows, that you could glimpse the real thing: rooms that were eccentric, a bit arch and oh-so-slightly frayed.” New York Times, October 23, 2008.
In addition to working with already-constructed spaces, Shane works together with ABRN Development Corporation to influence the shape and harmony of spaces under design. Customizing the shape of the building, the textures and fabrics to be used at the building conception stage, allows the magic of Shane’s full styles to be imbedded in the shape and presentation of the structure itself.
Shane moves regularly between projects in New England and Texas.
Alicia Nardo, as Principal Construction Coordinator, works closely with both Shane and ABRN Development Corporation on commissioned construction and design work. Alicia brings a multi-generational knowledge of building design, particularly on the East Coast, to the process of building the success of a project from the ground up. Working with Shane to move ideas from conception, into virtual mock-ups and then through the final architectural details and bidding, Alicia implements Shane’s vision for a client and provides the literal canvas upon which Shane creates.
Dana Edmondson, Master of Fine Arts from the University of Dallas, 1989, is the principal antiques buyer and auctions manager for Ravenswood. Dana has proprietary access to some of the finest auction houses in the United States and focuses both on antiques of general interest, as well as taking special commissions for particular difficult-to-find pieces which collectors may be seeking. Dana is assisted by her daughter, Sally, who together locate, evaluate and acquire the pieces that fulfill Shane’s design vision.
